4rinafI've been using the following form https://form.jotform.com/252192344342048 for the past year, and it worked fine.
I made a small text change in two text fields—the ones with the red background at the top and bottom of the form.
Since I made the change, people or users cannot submit the form. When completing the form and reaching the submit button, pressing the submit button shows a "Please wait" message that disappears after a few seconds. Yet, the form is not registered, nor is an email confirmation being sent.
This is truly very urgent since it prevents new potential users from registering for our classes. What can I do to recover and fix the issue?

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Rina,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
Let me help you with that:
Based on the behavior you described, the submit button getting stuck on Please wait and then doing nothing is most commonly caused by a caching issue on the form.
Please try the steps below in order:
- Clear your form cache
Go to the guide on How to Clear Your Form Caches and follow the steps there to clear the cache for your forms in your Jotform account. - Test the form again in a fresh browser session
After clearing the form cache, open your form link in a private/incognito window and try a real test submission to see if it goes through and appears in your submissions table, and if the notification email is sent. - Clear your browser cache and try another browser
If the issue persists, clear your browser cache and cookies, then:- Try again in the same browser after clearing the cache.
- Also test in a different browser (for example, Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari) and, if possible, on a different device or network.
Important: After each change, please check whether a new test submission appears in your form’s submissions table and whether you receive the notification email. If the submit button is still stuck on Please wait after all these steps, let us know if it happens for you as the form owner as well, or only for your users, and whether it occurs on all devices/browsers you tried. After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
- Clear your form cache
-
4rinafI did everything that you asked. I cleared the cache, checked it in incognito mode on Chrome, and then on Edge. I'm still receiving "please wait."
The problem is not fixed, neither for me as an owner nor for my users. I have already received calls from more than ten users who are unable to submit the form.
This is truly very urgent, and I would appreciate your immediate feedback.
-
Podo: Support SpecialistThanks for checking all of that so quickly, and I understand this is very urgent with your registrations blocked.
Since you’ve already cleared your form cache, browser cache, and tested in multiple browsers and incognito, and the Submit button is still stuck on “Please wait…”, this now needs deeper investigation from our support team on the backend.
Just to recap what we normally recommend (in case anyone else on your team needs it):
- Clear your form cache from your Jotform account settings – you can follow this guide: How to Clear Your Form Caches.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, then test again.
- Try a different browser and/or device and network.
Since you’ve already done all of this and the issue persists for both you and your users, the next step is for our support members to review your specific form and account in detail.
Please confirm the following so we can pass everything along clearly:
- The exact form URL you’re using for your users (is it only https://form.jotform.com/252192344342048 or is it embedded on a website as well?).
- Whether the form is embedded on a site (and if yes, how it’s embedded – for example, iFrame or script).
Once you share that, we can have this escalated for further investigation. In the meantime, if you have another similar form, you might temporarily clone it and share that link with users so registrations can continue while we look into this one.
Let me know those details and we’ll move forward from there.
-
4rinafThe form is not embedded in any websites. Users are simply using a direct link generated by JotForm.
-
Podo: Support SpecialistHi Rina,
Thanks for confirming that the form is only used via the direct link.
Since you’ve already cleared the form cache, cleared your browser cache, and tested in multiple browsers and in incognito, but the Submit button is still stuck on Please wait… and no submissions or emails are created, this goes beyond what can be fixed with the standard cache steps and needs a deeper check on the form/account side.
Let me help you with the next steps you can take right now so your registrations are not blocked:
1. Create a temporary replacement form (clone)
- Go to your Jotform account and open your forms page.
- Create a new form and rebuild or clone your existing form’s fields and settings as closely as possible.
- Publish this new form and generate a new direct link.
2. Switch your users to the new link
- Share the new form link with your users (email, website, social media, or wherever you normally share the old link).
- Ask one or two users (or yourself) to do a real test submission on the new form.
- Check that the submission appears in the new form’s submissions table and that you receive the notification email.
3. Keep the original form for investigation
- Do not delete the original form that is stuck on Please wait, so it can still be reviewed.
- Use only the new form link for active registrations until the underlying issue with the original form is identified and resolved.
- Monitor the new form for a short period to confirm that all submissions and emails are working as expected.
At this point, since all cache and browser troubleshooting has already been done and the form is still not submitting even via the direct link, it indicates an issue that requires further investigation on our side, while you use the cloned/recreated form to keep your class registrations running.
Reach out again if you need any other help.
-
4rinafUnfortunately, I cannot use your suggested solution since those who need to register simply come and scan a QR code in our offices that sends them to the form.
I don't know who is going to register, so the solution is not really a solution, and it doesn't fix my problem.
I honestly don't understand how a simple text change in a graphical widget on the form can create such a disruption in our normal operation.
I must emphasize, this is extremely disappointing and frustrating. -
Podo: Support SpecialistI’m really sorry for the disruption this is causing you, especially with people standing in your office trying to register — I understand how frustrating that is.
Since you already cleared your form and browser caches, to help us better understand the issue, could you share a screenshot of your browser’s Console Log? You can follow this guide to capture it step by step: How to Get a Console Report from Most Common Browsers.
If you haven’t already, please also provide the exact page URL where you’re encountering the issue (the link that’s encoded in your QR code). Once we have the console output and that URL, we can better pinpoint what’s blocking the submission and move forward from there. Let me know once you have those details and we’ll keep digging into this together.

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Rina,
Thanks for sharing the direct form link.
Let me help you with that:
From the available information, when a form’s Submit button is stuck on Please wait… and you’ve already cleared the form cache, cleared your browser cache, and tested in different browsers and connections, the only documented next step is that this requires further investigation on our side. There are no additional self-service fixes documented beyond the cache and browser steps you’ve already completed.
Because of that, there is unfortunately no additional immediate change you can apply yourself on this specific form to restore submissions, other than using an alternative form/link while the issue is being investigated.
To move forward, please do these three things so our team can better pinpoint what is happening when the QR-code link is used:
- Confirm the exact QR target
Make sure the QR code points exactly to:
https://form.jotform.com/252192344342048
If it points to a different or shortened URL, please share that exact URL as well. - Capture a console report while reproducing the issue
On a desktop browser where you can reproduce the stuck Please wait… behavior:- Open your form link in a new tab.
- Open the browser’s developer tools and switch to the Console tab.
- Fill the form with test data and click Submit so it gets stuck on Please wait….
- Take a screenshot of the Console showing any errors or warnings.
- Share the console screenshot here
Upload or paste the console screenshot in your next reply so we can see any error messages that appear when the submission hangs.
Once we have the console output from a failed submission on this link, we’ll have a clearer idea of what is blocking the submission and can move forward with a more targeted solution.
Reach out again if you need any other help.
- Confirm the exact QR target

Bojan Support Team LeadHi Rina,
I've tried to replicate the issue on a cloned form, but everything worked fine. Could we try making a test submission directly on your form? This will help us determine what's going on and what next steps should be.
As soon as we hear back from you, we can move forward with a solution.
-
4rinafThe QR didn't change. It has been in use for the past year and worked fine. Users started experiencing the issue after the text change I made to the form on August 25.

-
4rinafSure.
As I wrote before, the clone form works fine.Go ahead and just put any information that you would like to. I can delete everything afterwards. -
4rinafI mean, you can use the official form and try to submit. I will just ignore all these submissions later on.
Don't worry about it. Just do whatever you need to try and figure out the issue.
-
4rinafHi Bojan.
If you need to connect remotely to my computer, I'm available.
Let's do whatever it takes to fix this issue, since tomorrow is the last day the office is open until September first, and the form must be active during this period.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
-
Bojan Support Team LeadHi Rina,
I tested your form and had the same issue, so I created a ticket and escalated this to our Developers. Although we don't know exactly when it'll be fixed, we’ll circle back to this thread when we have an update.
Until this is resolved, you can try making a clone version of your form, and sharing this with your users. Since my clone was working fine, a cloned version of your form should also work. Cloning an Existing Form From a URL is easy. Let me walk you through it:
1. On your Workspace page, click on Create on the top-left side of the page.
2. Select Form from the assets, and then click on Import Form.
3. In the next window, click on From a Web Page.
4. Paste the form link into the Enter URL field and click on Create Form.
After cloning your form, it will open in Form Builder automatically. You can now edit it the way you want and publish it.Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help.
-
4rinafHi, Bojan.
Are you still checking on my issue?
-
Nikola JotForm SupportHi Rina,
My colleague was able to replicate the issue when he tested your form, and he escalated the issue to our developers. We’ll let you know once we hear back from them.
-
4rinafAs you recommended, I created a clone. Yet, the clone cannot use the existing folders and files I used before, and that creates a major headache for me.
In addition, I will have to distribute new QR codes for all our offices so that they can guide users on how to reach our registration form.
This is truly very disappointing.
-
Kim Enterprise SupportHi Rina,
My colleague escalated this to the relevant team and our Developers are on the case and doing their best to get this sorted quickly. We’ll update you as soon as we can.
-
4rinafThanks a lot. I truly appreciate the quick support and communication.
