    Hi Sandy,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Access Code is set in Form Builder as soon as you've enabled Form Encryption. This isn't stored anywhere automatically, and works the same way like your password.

Access Code is used to decrypt submissions when your form uses Form Encryption feature. Encrypted forms use end-to-end encryption, so your access code is securely locked, even from us. If you lose or forget it, we won’t be able to recover your data. To stay safe, it’s a good idea to choose a code that’s easy to remember or store it somewhere secure.

If you no longer remember your access code, your submissions are considered lost. We suggest turning off the Form Encryption feature to start receiving submissions that wouldn't require an access code. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Settings tab in the navigation bar at the top.
    2. Next, in Encrypt Your Form Data, disable it.
    3. In the warning window that appears, click on the Yes, Disable button, and that's it.
